Hello, I’m Naida Kirkpatrick, and I am happy to welcome you to Naida’s Bookshelf a place to find a wide variety of teen fiction books. I have always enjoyed stories of adventures, whether on the range with cowboys, at sea on sailing ships, or in space on other worlds. I also like to try to solve the mystery before the end of the book.
I earned a BS in education from Ball State, a degree in nursing from Purdue University and have completed several writing courses from the Institute of Children’s Literature and The Long Ridge Writers Group. I am a member of SCBWI.
I write stories for kids. Most of my books are written for the middle reader or early teen. However, I have branched out a bit and have a new adult novel just now available. Writing is an adventure, and I love to embark on a journey to a different world of my own making. I create new people and surroundings, and they become friends. I hope these characters from my children reading books will also become your friends as well.
